This post is for Adriana and Pete, whose amazing woodsy wedding I photographed in September 2007. This couple has an amazing, very romantic story. Pete is a farmer, and Adriana is an artist, they live way out in the wilds of Medocino County, and that's just the beginning of it.

The latest chapter: Just yesterday, Adriana and Pete gave birth to a beautiful baby girl! I can't wait to meet her, and share more photos of this beautiful family.

I'm tempted to wax lyrical on one of my favorite subjects - the miracle of change through time. But I think these two photographs say it all.

After photographing Isabelle's extraordinary baby shower a year ago, returning to photograph Zachary's first birthday party was such a treat. Zachary is such a sweetheart. I love how he is such a beautiful mix of his mom and dad.

Little Sister

Shortly before the arrival of Finn's little sister, his mom told me she would love some photos of her newborn during what she described as that fleeting "birdlike phase."




With these photos, taken when Baby V was 11 days old, I think we succeeded.

Nearly six weeks later, I'm sure she's a whole different creature, and feel so lucky to have had a chance to capture this precious time. As you can see, Finn is a natural. Congratulations Finn and family - I can't wait to see you all again soon.

In late July, I photographed them as they prepared for the birth of their second daughter.



And, last month, I got to meet Little A for the first time!



Watching these cycles of life is such a profound experience for me.

Deirdre and Charlie Love Story Debut!

I shot these engagement photos of Deirdre and Charlie in March.

I am so excited about this Love Story, the best one I have ever done.  I believe so deeply in the power of Love stories because, to me, there are two things that make a wedding exceptional: 1) a sense of community; 2) the feeling that the two people getting married makes the world a better place. 

Love Stories bring wedding guests together as witnesses of the couple's unique story of falling in love, and as a community deeply committed to their future 

With this one, I could not have had better subjects.  Deirdre and Charlie are so free-spririted, creative, authentic, and in love. This project has been a pleasure from start to finish. 

Congratulations Deirdre and Charlie. You have made the world a better place. 

Rachel and Michael's Rehearsal Dinner

Rachel and Michael had an absolutely gorgeous rehearsal dinner in Tiburon last month.

There was so much joy - and some tears - as they signed the ketubah, affirming their commitment to one another.

Happy 2nd Birthday Dylan!

Dylan is as adorable as they come. Just when I think he can't possibly get any cuter, he does.
